Patient safety Executive Walk-Rounds from Eye Surgery ward

Based on national and international accreditation standards and Country Instruction from Ministry of Health, patient safety Executive Walk-Rounds was held in Bina eye hospital with active participation of CEO, safety Responsible and other team members.

According to patient safety Executive Walk-Rounds calendar, Sunday, 8 July walk round was held in eye surgery ward with the presence of eye surgery ward head nurse, nurses and other staffs. Ms.Tork-Hajimaleki-Ms Tavakoli-Mr.Ghamin.

With the aim of promoting the safety culture, the following questions were asked by visitors:

1- With consideration the past few days can you describe a case, problem or topic that has prolonged the duration of patient in hospital?
2- With consideration the past few days can you remember any near-event occurrence that could result in injury to the patient?
3- Have you recently noticed what has been harmed to the patient?
4- Which of the environmental aspects can damage the patient?
5- Can we prevent the next harm to the patients?
6- In your opinion, which systemic or environmental factors increase the risk of mistakes?
7- What intervention by senior managers will make your services safer?
8- How can patient safety Executive Walk-Rounds be more effective?
