With this device, live images are provided in microscopic quality tissue and ‎the ability to quickly and directly imaging tissue morphology, this device ‎displays high-resolution retina layers that effectively helps the physician to ‎monitor, treat and continuously monitor retina disease.‎


The purpose of this photo

OCT plays an important role in Diagnosis Different types of retinal diseases ‎such as retinal detachment, edema or the presence of holes in the macular ‎area of the eye.‎

Patients with glaucoma or diabetic can also be evaluated accurately with this ‎device during periodic examinations.‎

Also before cataract surgery, to predict the outcome of the action and also, ‎if vision is not completed after cataract surgery, it can help to diagnose.‎

It should be noted that most cases of tension between the retina and the ‎vitreous (Vitriental traction) and the membranes on the retina (membranes ‎of the epithelium) are not detected without this device.‎

To do this photo, a drop of Mydrax is used to completely open the pupil.‎

 

Steps

First, patient information is entered into the device and the patient is asked ‎to place his/her chin and forehead at the specified location And look at the ‎center of the red star that's inside the device‏ ‏Do not blink for a few seconds ‎and do not move his/her eyes. Images and information are printed on the ‎sheet and delivered to the patient.‎

 

Complications

Due to the complete opening of the eye pupil with a drop, the patient will ‎have a blurred vision of 3 to 4 hours, especially in near vision that's why ‎the study is a little difficult during this period. ‎

Every day, except holidays, from 7 am to 6:30 pm

The duration of the test for both eyes is approximately 15 minutes.‎
