One of the most well-known and common types of occupational examinations is periodic examinations. This type of examination, which is a type of secondary prevention, is performed at regular intervals (often one year). Periodic examinations are performed to achieve two main goals:
Early detection of workers suspected of having occupational diseases in the early and treatable stages.
Performing Fitness for Work in employees whose work environment is adversely affected by the disease.
Pre-employment examinations and periodic examinations are in fact a seal of approval on pre-employment examinations. If the first signs of illness (both occupational and non-occupational) appear during periodic examinations (at least once a year), the progression of the disease can be prevented at the lowest cost and the health of the employee can be guaranteed. From this perspective, periodic examinations are considered a type of life insurance that prevents the occurrence of disabilities before reaching retirement age in the labor and production of the country.
Therefore, periodic examinations were performed in Bina Hospital in the presence of an occupational medicine physician, Dr. Zarrin Honar, and with the cooperation of Mrs. Nazari, engineer of occupational health.
